Course Description

This is a seminar-type course designed to acquaint students with the many ethical issues faced by professionals in the computing field. Readings from the texts explore differing opinions and issues of controversy among computer professionals. Telling “right” from “wrong” is easy, but how do you choose between two “right”s? This is what we hope to investigate this semester. You will be required to formulate and support positions on these issues both orally and in writing. Our discussions will be based on logic, not passion.
