StartingPoints has more info.
We're using
DBCacheContrib, and it has done a fine job speeding things up, but I have yet to sort out how to use the twiki tags discussed in
DBCachePlugin.
I've sorted out that we have to use topics with wikiwords for it to work right, so we are now enforcing that.
The whole experience points out how difficult it is to debug things using twiki's framework. Given the superb tools provided by perl (as simple as using CGI:Carp and Exception::Class) and by mod_perl, that seems nuts, so I took a step back and started working on a better development framework for twiki as a whole.
I came across these old notes on my stickies, and copied them over to consolidate the history. I find it interesting how
AhatSkin's evolution really facilitates the design work.
